MIAX Exchange Group - Options Markets - Corporate Action Alert: Select iPath ETFs

The following iPath ETF's have announced reverse stock splits effective for Wednesday, July 24, 2024:

  • iPath Series B S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETN (VXX)
  • iPath Series B S&P 500 VIX Mid-Term Futures ETN (VXZ)
On that date, the current VXX and VXZ option classes will change to VXX2 and VXZ1.  The MIAX Options Exchange, MIAX Pearl Options Exchange and MIAX Emerald Options Exchange will not list VXX2 and VXZ1 options. Therefore, no options on VXX and VXZ will be available for trading on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. 

The above iPath ETF's will resume trading on the MIAX Options Exchange, MIAX Pearl Options Exchange and MIAX Emerald Options Exchange on Thursday, July 25, 2024.

All GTC orders resting on the MIAX order books in VXX and VXZ will be canceled at the close of business on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.
