U.S. Options

The launch date for the electronic market of MIAX Sapphire Exchange is being postponed from April 8, 2024 to August 5, 2024.  While the Exchange is currently “launch ready,” the Exchange is forced to delay the launch date because the SEC is not expected to complete its approval process for the timely launch of the Exchange by the April 8th launch date.  While we have been advised that there are no substantive concerns with the Exchange’s application, out of an abundance of caution, the new launch date is being set to a date that is after the expiration of the SEC’s maximum statutory approval deadline, given the uncertainty of the SEC timeline.  We regret to inform the industry of this delay, however it is outside of the Exchange’s control.   

Industry test dates are currently scheduled for:

1. June 29, 2024 - 1st Industry Test
2. July 20, 2024 - 2nd Industry Test
3. August 3, 2024 - Confidence Test
   • This will be the Confidence Test so firms are encouraged to participate in the earlier tests
