U.S. Options

As previously announced in the September 8, 2023 and December 11, 2023 Alerts, MIAX Pearl Options Exchange will be performing a technology refresh of the Matching Engine servers, MIAX Pearl FIX Order Interface (FOI) Gateway servers and Market Data Retransmission servers in NY4.
 
The technology refresh will be performed in phases. For each phase, the cut-over work supporting the technology refresh will be performed on Friday evenings between 6:00 PM ET and 10:00 PM ET.

There are no changes to exchange functionality or interface definitions as part of this technology refresh.

The technology refresh will begin in phases beginning Monday, January 8, 2024 through Monday, February 12, 2024. During the rollout of the technology refresh, MIAX will not accept requests for additions, removals or protocol changes to MEO, FOI, CTD, FXD and MEP ports. However, changes to port notifications, CTD permissions, RPM changes and firm protection updates will be accepted. 

In addition, the MIAX Member Firm Portal (MFP) will not support firm configuration information queries or changes during the refresh period. Please contact MIAX Trading Operations at TradingOperations@miaxglobal.com to make any changes during the refresh period.

Connectivity testing will be available on the weekend following each cut-over phase, before production activation.

Phase I
This phase does not require any changes by participants. Production activations will occur across the platform on the following dates:

1. Tuesday, January 16th, 2024 – FIX and Market Data Retransmission Services
   • Connectivity testing prior to production activation available on Saturday, January 13th, 2024
2. Monday, January 22nd, 2024 – Cloud 11 Matching Engine, Quoting Services, Market Data Feeds, FIX and Market Data Retransmission Services.  
   • Connectivity testing prior to production activation available on Saturday, January 20th, 2024
3. Monday, January 29th, 2024 – Clouds 1, 2, 3 Matching Engine and Quoting Services, Market Data Feeds  
   • Connectivity testing prior to production activation available on Saturday, January 27th, 2024
4. Monday, February 5th, 2024 – Remaining Clouds Matching Engine and Quoting Services, Market Data Feeds  
   • Connectivity testing prior to production activation available on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024

 Firms are encouraged to participate in the connectivity testing sessions to ensure application connectivity.

Phase II

1. Customers that have CTD sessions in Pearl Options will be required to migrate to a newly assigned IP address. New IP addresses will be available for connection beginning on January 22, 2024. All CTD sessions must be migrated to the to the newly assigned IP address by January 31, 2024. New session information will be available beginning December 11, 2023 by request by contacting TradingOperations@miaxglobal.com.
2. The source IP addresses for Pearl Options DR TOM & PLF feeds will be migrating to a new subnet effective Monday, February 12, 2024. Customers that subscribe to these DR feeds will need to update their routing instructions. The new route will be advertised across the CH4 cross-connects beginning on December 11, 2023.
