MIAX Emerald Options Exchange - Final Update: Interface Specifications for FOI, FXD, CTD and MEI (Resting quote canceled due to replacement quote reject)

As previously announced in the August 17, 2023 alert, the Emerald Options Exchange Interface specifications have been updated for the following changes:

  • Emerald Options – Added MIAX Sapphire Support
    • FIX Order Interface (FOI) v1.2b and
      FIX Drop Copy (FXD) v1.2b:
      • Execution Report (MsgType=8) - Tag #207(SecurityExchange) Tag: Added “SPHR” value
    • Clearing Trade Drop (CTD) v1.2c:
      • Trade Message: Execution Exchange Field: Added “S” value
    • NOTE: These changes are applicable on the MIAX Sapphire Options industry test dates and activation date. 
  • Emerald Options – Resting quote canceled due to replacement quote reject
    • MIAX Express Interface (MEI) v2.2:
      • New cancel reason “A” in Cancel Notification
    • NOTE: These changes will be live beginning on August 31, 2023.
Rollout Schedule:
  • Day 1, Thursday, August 31, 2023 - Symbols beginning with Z (Matching Engine 11)
  • Day 2, Friday, September 1, 2023 -   Symbols starting with letters G – HZO and W – YY (Matching Engine 4 and 10)
  • Day 3, Tuesday, September 5, 2023 - All remaining symbols (Matching Engines 1 – 3, 5 – 9 & 12)
These changes are currently available in the Emerald Options Exchanges Firm Test Bed (FTB2) environment.
