MIAX Pearl Options - Planned Network Changes to the MIAX Pearl Firm Test Beds (FTB1 and FTB2) on January 20, 2023
MIAX Pearl Options is planning to migrate the Pearl Options Test Beds (FTB1 and FTB2) to a new IP address subnet. Changes will be made on January 20, 2023, and firms can test and verify their connectivity from January 21, 2023. There will be no changes to MIAX Options Firm Test Beds.
Objective:
The objective of the change is to facilitate the routing configuration for firms to access the Pearl FTBs on the new Pearl Extranet. The new FTB subnet will be used for unicast and multicast FTB access. Multicast market data source IPs and multicast Rendezvous Point (RP) will be mapped to the new subnet IPs for FTB multicast market data.
What Firms need to do:
- Accept the new route for the subnet (for both unicast and multicast test bed data) on the new Pearl 10G ULL extranet and 1G LL Extranet cross-connects and VPN sessions planning to connect to the Pearl FTBs.
- Update the multicast RP for the Pearl FTB multicast data and expect the multicast to come from the new source IPs. Please note that multicast groups will not change.
- Update the test environments access controls and applications level IP for the new Pearl FTB IPs.
- Please refer to the below networking IP/Port details.
New Pearl FTB1 and FTB2 IP summary details:
- Network = 199.168.156.240/29
- FTB1 Unicast IPs = 199.168.156.241
- FTB2 Unicast IPs = 199.168.156.242
- RP = 199.168.156.246
- Groups = 233.105.122.240/28
The timeline is as follows:
- The target date for cutover to the new Pearl FTB subnet is after market close on Friday, January 20, 2023.
- Connectivity testing can be conducted on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
