MIAX Emerald Options - New Interface Specifications Available for Testing System Enhancements

MIAX Emerald Options Exchange has published updated Interface Specifications to support the following system enhancements:

Complex Orders – Stock-tied Orders will support 4 Decimals (Scheduled to be deployed between October 15th-21st 2022):

  • FIX Interface Specification (FOI) - Version 1.1a
    • Updated New Order – Multileg (MsgType = "AB")
      • FIX Tag Price (#44) will now accept up to 4 decimal places for stock-tied orders
    • Updated New Order Cross – Multileg (MsgType = "As")
      • FIX Tag Price (#44) will now accept up to 4 decimal places for stock-tied cPRIME and cQCC orders
    • Updated Order Cancel/Replace – Multileg (MsgType = "AC")
      • FIX Tag Price (#44) will now accept up to 4 decimal places for stock-tied orders
Trade Conditions in older CTD versions (Scheduled to be deployed between October 15th-21st 2022, pending SEC approval):
  • Clearing Trade Drop (CTD) - Version 1.2a
    • Noted that CTD1.0 will always have a trade condition of Regular(‘ ‘/space) for all system generated automatic trades.
Fill-Or-Kill (FOK) eQuotes removed from the Interface specification as it is no longer supported:
  • MIAX Express Interface (MEI) - Version 2.1c
    • FOK eQuotes references removed throughout the document
Order price clarifications based on new price protections (Scheduled to be deployed in November 2022, pending SEC approval):
  • MIAX Order (MOR) Feed – Version 1.1a
    • Simple order price will be the original limit price of the order
    • Complex order price will be the effective limit price of the order
These features are currently available in the Firm Test Bed (FTB2) environment.
