U.S. Options

As previously announced in a MIAX Alert published on June 30, 2016, the MIAX Options Exchange is modifying the BCP Testing Requirements per the SIFMA 2016 industry guidelines.  All members that are required to participate in accordance with Regulation Systems Compliance and Integrity (Regulation SCI) have been notified. 

MIAX will operate out of its new disaster recovery site in Chicago (CH4).  All members that are required to participate in accordance with Regulation SCI must connect to the disaster recovery site IP addresses for all interfaces.

Members not required by the MIAX Options Exchange to participate in the 2016 annual Regulation SCI BC/DR test are encouraged to connect to the disaster recovery site and participate in the SIFMA BCP industry test.

MIAX Options Exchange BCP Testing Requirements

While not required, MIAX Market Makers are encouraged to utilize this testing opportunity to provide continuous two-sided quotes in all assigned classes and Electronic Exchange Members are encouraged to provide frequent order updates.  MIAX Options will conduct the test with all listed options available.  Members mandated to participate in accordance with Regulation SCI are obligated, at a minimum, to demonstrate the following:

Electronic Exchange Members (EEM)

• Send at least two orders in any of the options listed below
• Receive at least one execution in any of the options listed below

Market Makers (MM)

• Send at least one, two-sided quote in any of the options listed below
• Receive at least one execution in any of the options listed below
