MIAX Options Interface Specification Update

MIAX Options has published an updated FIX Order Interface Specification v2.0a to support the following changes:

  • MsgType F (Order Cancel Request)
    • The OrderQty field (tag 38) value is ignored and no longer used to validate the target of the cancel.
    • The RequestType field (tag 9100) no longer supports values 1 through 7 for Mass Cancel requests. Support for these values has been removed.

The specification is currently available for review at MIAX Interface Specifications.

The rollout of the FIX applications to support this change will commence on May 24, 2016 and continue through June 2, 2016.  A Member Firm's individual FIX port will reflect this new behavior as the FIX application associated with that FIX port is deployed during the rollout period.

This interface update is currently available in the MIAX Firm Test Bed #2 (FTB2) environment.
