MIAX Options - Modification to Retransmission Services Timeout Windows
MIAX Options Exchange will be modifying the Retransmission Services Timeout Windows to minimize user contention for all MIAX Retransmission Services. This change should be seamless to users.
MIAX will decrease the timeout window between the initial TCP connection and the SesM login to 2 seconds. Currently, users have 30 seconds once they have established a TCP connection to send a SesM login. Once this change is implemented, if a SesM login is not received before the 2 seconds expires, MIAX will disconnect the connection. Please note, this is a shared service and does not support multiple users accessing the service simultaneously.
The MIAX currently has Retransmission Services for the following:
- Administrative Information Subscriber Feed (AIS)
- MIAX Order Feed (MOR)
- Top of Market Feed (ToM)
The rollout schedule is for the following Trading Days:
- Tuesday, February 16, 2016: Clouds 21
- Wednesday, February 17, 2016: Clouds 1-5
- Thursday, February 18, 2016: Clouds 6-20 and 22-24
This functionality is available for testing on both MIAX Firm Test Beds (FTB1 & FTB2).
